• Concept and properties of panchamahabhuta – 5 great element
• Concept of health and disease in Ayurveda
• Introduction, location and type of dosha ( governing factor), dhatu (supporting and nourishing tissue) , mala (excretory products)
• Concept, types, and importance of Agni (metabolic fire), ama and its treatment
• Causes of disease, six-stage of disease progression – shatkriyakala, suppressible and un-suppressible urges of body
• Four limbs of treatment (chatuspaada)
• Dincharya (daily regimen), ritucharya (seasonal regimen), ratricharya (night regimen),
• Introduction to shaman and sodhan chikitsa
• Introduction to srotas, types, functioning, mal functioning
• Analysis of body type ( prakriti pariksha)
• Diagnostic methods in ayurveda – astvidha sthaan pariksha
• Different types of herbal preparations, their uses , doses
• Six different tastes and their uses
• Common herbs in daily life – zinger, turmeric, gooseberry, clove, garlic, turnip, pepper, liquorice, holy basil, artemesia, fenugreek, cumin, camphor, cardamom etc
• Concept and practices of marma therapy ( vital points)
• General physical examinations – temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure
• Introduction and practices of Panchakarma –
• poorva karma (preparatory procedures)- deepan, pachan, snehan, swedan
• pradhan karma (main procedures)- vaman, virecan, nasya, vasti, raktamokshan
• paschat karma ( post – procedures)
• Concept of rasayan and vajikarna in ayurvdea
• Ayurvedic concept of nutrition, ccoking
• Common diseases and thir ayurvedic management – cough, fever, back pain, neck pain, headache, gastritis, constipation, menstrual irregularities, depression, anxiety, insomnia, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, allergic rhinitis, skin disorders, arthritis
